Dwarf morning glory - Convolvulus tricolour Dwarf morning glory - Convolvulus tricolour© Dr Chris Gibson/English Nature ![]() The lance-shaped leaves of this bushy plant are a beautiful dark green. It is a relative of the bindweed but it does not climb. Dwarf morning glory will thrive in poor, sandy soils, producing an abundance of spectacular flowers. The wide-mouthed, trumpet-like flowers come in a range of bright colours, but all have striking yellowish throats. Bees come to the flowers, as may the huge and spectacular convolvulus hawk-moth.
