Barberry - Berberis x stenophylla Barberry - Berberis x stenophylla© Susan A Tindall ![]() This shrub has narrow, spiny, evergreen leaves with bluish undersides on slender arching stems, which bear triple spines. This hedge barberry produces masses of golden flowers, which are followed by small black-blue fruits. The plant is a hybrid that is widely grown in gardens.
