This beautiful and slender white moth with narrow feathery wings and long spiked legs is common and widespread. In June and July, the white plume moth flies from dusk onwards and is attracted to light. It may be seen roosting on low vegetation during the day. The caterpillars which feed on hedge bindweed have tufts of white hairs and are found from August to April.

Food

The larvae of this moth feed on convolvulus (bindweed).
