It has a long proboscis. A pest of oilseed rape, this species is pretty harmless in the garden and is to be found on many members of the cabbage family, including sweet Alison, honesty and wallflower, as well as on vegetables such as radish, cabbage and turnip, making tiny round holes in the leaves. It is very common and widely distributed. FoodPlant-feeder on almost any member of the cabbage family including garden vegetables, also wild species such as hedge mustard.
